  • Take Delight!

Over the last few weeks, there has been a real sense of the presence of the Lord, working in my life, in new ways, of coming to a place of rest, of knowing Him, a place of assurance, of trust in the midst of life.

The more that I walk with Him, the more I realize that this life in Him, is not rules and regulations, but rather a life of relationship, of communion and communication, of abiding with Him and dwelling in His presence 24/7.

It is an attitude of relationship, of wholeness with the Father, of the Holy Spirit and the Lordship of Jesus, of coming to a place of dwelling, abiding and trusting, not based on feelings but an assurance of His presence with us!

I read, I study, I love theology but at the end of the day, it is relationship, of learning to become one with Him and in learning to be one with Him, we learn to be one with others because we are building on a sure foundation, on the word, on the Father who takes delight in daily walking with us!

My heart is warm this day, with an assurance that the Father takes delight in me and I in Him, that we are one, that He takes delight in us, that He wants to walk with us each day, to reveal Himself to us through His word, His presence and His Spirit.

Take delight in the Father today, be one with Him, let go and allow Him, to speak to your heart and reveal Himself to you, delight in Him and He will delight in you!

    Till later,

  • It is Time!

    A preparation of hearts!
    A softing!
    A releasing!
    A healing of wounds!
    A release!

    A freedom to laugh!
    A freedom to rejoice!
    A freedom to cry out!
    A freedom to exalt!
A freedom to declare His majesty!

    A rebuilding!
    A restoration!
    A declaration!
    A time to expand!

    A time to overcome!
    A time to build!
    A time to speak!
    A time to prophecy!

    A time to declare!
    What is!
    What well be!
    What is to come!

    A time of birthing!
    A time of blossoming!
A release of the fragrance of His presence,
of His holiness, of His life, of His glory!

A time to see with His eyes!
A time to hear with His ears!
A time to love with His heart!

    It is time!
A time to breathe the breath of life!
A time to partake of all He is!!
    It is time!

    Till later,

  • Honest to God!

Why are we afraid to be real, to be honest?

Why do we say "honest to God" when we really don't mean it?

Being honest to God, means telling it like it is!

To admit that we have failed, that we have made mistakes. That we don't know what to do and we wonder how can we get out of this or why are we in this place?

The last four years have been both good years and very rough years. They have been times of wonder, times of pain, times of hurt, times of hope, always hope, even when it was but a thread.

These where the times I said, "Lord, why? How do I handle this? How do I deal with this, where did the last thirty years of my life go? Why was my life stripped of everything, of all that was special to me and part of my life? This is not where I expected to be in my latter years."

It was also during this time, that the enemy of our soul, fulfilled his role well as the accuser, pointing out all the mistakes, all the area's where I had fallen short!

But at the same time, the Lord began to show me the why of it!

As I look back, I can see now, that as I began to focus more on the Lord, that I began to understand that in going through this, that I was learning to know my Father, my Lord, in a more personal and intimate relationship.

Learning to be real, honest and open, talking to Him, as a child would talk to His Father. To truly learn to love with His love, to see with His eyes. He has given me that which was so needed in my life, a heart that has become pliable in His hands.

He is teaching me to write from the heart, to be honest with Him, to be honest to God, to people, to friends, focusing on others and not myself.

Let us be honest, open and real to the Lord, so that He can finish that which He has begun in us.

He will take that stony heart, that has been broken, that is going through the dark nights of the soul, the stormy nights and the why's of life, that heart that calls out to Him, that heart which held back, afraid to let go.

That heart, He will touch and soften, making it pliable in His hands, teaching us to be honest, open and real with Him and with others, as we share out of that which has become real, part of our life, that out of the ashes, out of what looks like defeat and failure and use it to touch the lives of others because it is a reality and not a theory in our lives.

    Let's be honest to God!

    Till later,

    Paul

  • I was really wondering today, “Lord what do you want me to share? What thoughts are on your heart?"

I kept looking at the word blessing, I looked again, and again. I looked at blessing, bles sing. I know I might be stretching it a little but that is what I saw in my mind.

I saw it as two words made to be one. In blessing, bless and sing, in worshiping the Lord, in singing, in praising the Lord, in lifting Him up this day with our whole heart, with our whole being, with all that is within us to bless the Lord this day, to speak praises to our Lord of Lords and King.

There is such a blessing when we come into the presence of the Lord, even when we don’t “feel anything”, it then becomes a sacrifice of praise and as you begin to make that sacrifice, then the blessings of the Lord, the presence of His Spirit begins to fall a fresh on you. Bringing restoration, healing, of lifting you up out of the place of bondage or captivity, freeing you from the bonds of the enemy.

When we begin to bless the Lord, it not only sets us free, it sets others free, like the water of the word, the praises and the worship brings a cleansing, a refreshing to our whole being and it pours out to others around us, wether in church, in a prayer group or even as bloggers, we worship and we praise the Lord with the keyboard, with the thoughts that the Lord allows us or gives us to share with others, that we might build them up and lift them up in the faith.

Is it not amazing how our God can take the simple things, the simple thoughts, that He brings to our heart, to our mind and then reveal Himself to us in it?

It is a blessing to sing, it is a blessing to be able to share, to write, to lift up, to exhort, to encourage and to stand with others in the Lord.

We are a people of hope, of expectation. We are a people who are learning to live in the reality of who the Lord is now. That the life changing power of the Lord applies to us now, not down the road, in the future.

Today we can walk in the blessings of the Lord. We can walk in the new life, in the strength of the Spirit and we can be an encourager to others with the things we speak, the things we write and the things we do.

Let us be a blessing to those around us and let them see in the blessings of the Lord, the fruit of the spirit working in our lives.

    Be blessed my friends!

    Till later,

    Paul

About Me

  • After a battle with cancer, two major surgeries, a divorce, after 29 years, not by choice, the Lord has taken what seemed like defeat and out of the ashes has brought forth life and focused him on what was important, the Lord Jesus Christ! Paul, now lives in Kennesaw, Georgia. Moved to Georgia, after nearly 30 years of living in Junction, Texas. My hope is to exhort others, lift them up, to let them now that we are never without hope and the Lord is with us in all that we go through in life. In addition to his web page, Paul also writes for the website Crossmap.com, as well as several other online e-zines, writes devotionals, is co-moderator of Christian Writers Group (CWG), also webservant for the Christian Authors Guild, in Woodstock, Georgia. Paul has a coffee cup ministry. A lot of his writing is done at Starbucks :) A market place ministry that allows Him to meet people of all ages, to have an ear to listen, exhort and hopefully encourage others.
